Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT) is aimed at ensuring that new commercial truck drivers in the province are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to operate vehicles safely and responsibly. All new drivers attempting the Class A road test on or after July 1, 2017, have to successfully complete the mandatory entry-level training course before attempting their Class A Road Test.
Our 104 hour program is developed according to the guidelines set in the Ontario Commercial Truck Driver Training Standard – Class A and the National Safety Code Standard 16 - Entry Level Training (Class 1).
The Program is delivered strictly as per the Ontario standard. The student to instructor ratio is maintained at all times during the program.
During the training, students learn the skills required to start their career in the trucking industry as an AZ Commercial Driver.
